Fired Up LA is a grassroots movement demanding life-saving accountability after the Eaton Fire exposed a deadly failure in LA County’s emergency alert system—no warnings, no excuses, just lives at risk.

When Every Second Counts,

We Count on Each Other.

TAKE ACTION

This is a People-Powered Movement

We’re not politicians. We’re not bureaucrats. We’re residents, neighbors, and families who believe no one should be left behind in an emergency because of where they live.

We were born out of outrage—and out of necessity—after the Eaton Fire exposed a fatal failure: neighborhoods west of Lake Ave were left in the dark while flames closed in. No alerts. No warnings. No excuses.

Fired Up LA is holding the LA County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) accountable for botching the rollout of the Genasys emergency alert system. OEM had the technology—but they failed to test it, train for it, or use it when it mattered most. That’s unacceptable.

Our Mission

Our Demands Are Simple. Our Resolve is Not.

  1. Investigate what went wrong during the Eaton Fire—and why Westside residents were ignored.

  2. Expose the disparities in alert delivery between different neighborhoods.

  3. Fix the system with proven best practices, mandatory training, and full transparency.

  4. Ensure no rollout happens without real testing—like other counties already do.

  5. Pressure elected officials to legislate life-saving standards and oversight.

Join the Fight.

Raise Your Voice.

Save Lives.

We’re building a coalition of concerned citizens, fire survivors, emergency workers, and advocates demanding an emergency alert system that works for everyone—not just the politically connected.

Lives are on the line. We're fired up, and we’re not backing down.

Together, we can force change before it’s too late. Because when disaster strikes, your zip code shouldn't determine your chance to survive.
